Forest degradation and loss is the second-largest source of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions among all non-natural activities (i.e., human activities), and the principal driver of forest risk is agricultural land use1. Permanent land-use change from four commodity groupings (palm oil, livestock, wood products, and soy) accounts for 25% of global forest loss. To halt the deforestation trend, the concept of producing and consuming sustainable forest products, such as sustain nable palm oil, must be promoted further.
