This document was prepared by the Latin American and Caribbean Demographic Centre (CELADE)-Population Division of ECLAC, in its capacity as technical secretariat of the Regional Intergovernmental Conference on Ageing and the Rights of Older Persons in Latin America and the Caribbean, for the Fifth Conference (Santiago, 13–15 December 2022). During preparation of the document, the technical secretariat was assisted by the ECLAC subregional headquarters for the Caribbean and received support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

This document was coordinated by Simone Cecchini, Chief of CELADE-Population Division of ECLAC, Zulma Sosa Portillo, Coordinator of the Population and Development Area, Daniela González Ollino, Research Assistant, and Leandro Reboiras Finardi, Population Affairs Officer, all of the same Division. The drafting group comprised Simone Cecchini, Helena Cruz Castanheira, Daniela González Ollino, Francis Jones, Leandro Reboiras Finardi, Jorge Rodríguez Vignoli and Zulma Sosa Portillo, all of ECLAC, and Verónica Montes de Oca Zavala, Consultant of CELADE-Population Division of ECLAC.
