Congress directed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to complete a pilot program to determine the feasibility of the use of body-worn cameras (BWCs) (U.S. House of Representatives, 2020). In response to this direction, ICE completed a pilot program for personnel assigned to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special response teams (SRTs) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Fugitive Operations and SRTs.1 During the pilot, ICE assigned personnel at seven pilot sites—four HSI SRT and three ERO sites—to wear and provide feedback on BWCs for six months.2 The HSI units were the first to complete the pilot.
