The renewable power capacity data shown in these tables represents the maximum net generating capacity of power plants and other installations that use renewable energy sources to produce electricity. For most countries and technologies, the data reflects the capacity installed and connected at the end of the calendar year. Pumped storage is included in total capacity but excluded from total generation. The capacity data are presented in megawatts (MW) and the generation data are presented in gigawatt-hours (GWh). All the data are rounded to the nearest one MW/GWh, with figures between zero and 0.5 shown as a 0. In the balances, renewable electricity trade is calculated based on the share of renewables in total produciton.
