This report summarises the proceedings of the internationalconference "climate Changeand security in theMediterranean: Exploring the Nexus, Unpacking InternationalPolicy Responses" organised in the framework of the New-Med Research Network in Barcelona on 17 December2021. Convened to discuss the multidimensional securityimplications of the climate emergency in the Mediterranean,the event was co-organised by New-Med, the Union for theMediterranean (UfM) and the oscE secretariat and took placein a hybrid format at the UfM's Headquarters in Barcelona.Part of a larger work programme of research,outreach anddissemination activities on the oSCE's 2nddimension ofenvironmental economic security carried out by New-Medover the past year, the conference provided the occasion toassess climate trajectories in the Mediterranean and discusspresent and future policy options to help mitigate its adverseeffects on states and societies in the area.
